We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our Point A Hotel Liverpool Street, someone who gets stuck in, keeps things moving and takes real pride in owning the hotel’s standards from the inside out. You’ll bring the know-how, pace and energy to fix issues fast, spot what needs doing and make sure every space feels safe, sharp and guest-ready, every day.

From planned maintenance to quick fixes and preventing problems before they happen, you’ll take full ownership of the building, the details and the everyday basics that help our guests relax and our teams deliver at their best.

What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar leadership role, ideally within hospitality or another customer-facing environment.
- A hands-on, accountable leader with strong ownership of day-to-day maintenance operations.
- Ability to manage both reactive and planned maintenance effectively, ensuring issues are resolved safely, efficiently, and with minimal guest disruption.
- Experience delivering preventative maintenance programmes to maintain high standards across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Skilled in managing contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is safe, compliant, on time, and cost-effective.
- Competent in using maintenance and compliance systems to accurately track tasks, checks, and completed works.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working closely with operational teams to address issues proactively.
- Good understanding of health & safety, with the ability to train and support team members on safe working practices and emergency procedures.
- Practical and solution-focused, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver effective, first-time fixes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and workload prioritisation.
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, with occasional support across the wider hotel cluster.

More about the role
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the hotel. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will also work closely with the Cluster Maintenance Manager and specialist maintenance teams across the estate.
In this role, you will:
- Take ownership of the building, systems, and overall maintenance strategy.
- Lead and coordinate all maintenance activity, including contractor management.
- Manage maintenance requests in collaboration with Front Desk and Housekeeping, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records using the hotel’s maintenance and compliance systems.
- Balance reactive repairs with a structured preventative maintenance programme.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and fully compliant environment for guests, team members, and visitors.
